How PayByPhone works
PayByPhone is a convenient way to pay for parking by credit or debit card.
You can pay:
- by app
- online
- by phone
You can use PayByPhone wherever you see the signs in the borough and all over the UK.
Costs

*the diesel tariff applies in the event of a pay-and-display machine reinstatement.
Transaction costs per session
The Paybyphone system costs three pence per session to use on top of the parking tariff, and also to extend it.
Optional text messages are available at an additional cost:
- ten pence for a booking confirmation
- four pence for a reminder that the session is about to finish
How to register
It's quick and easy to register online. You will need your:
- vehicle details
- credit or debit card details (we do not accept American Express of Diners cards)
Paying to park
The easiest way to pay is via the PayByPhone app.
If you don’t have a smartphone, you can also by pay by:

- online
If you don't have a phone, you can pay at a local Paypoint store. We do not accept American Express or Diner cards.
