In Summer 2008 Kensington and Chelsea completed their first full review of their progress in implementing the Children and Young People’s Plan ‘Strong Families at the Heart of Strong Communities’ (2006-2009).
The Kensington and Chelsea’s Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) has been an important factor in the drive to integrate services and partnership arrangements locally. The review process has been an opportunity for the Council and its partners to evaluate progress made in delivering the priorities set out in the CYPP.
The 2008 review demonstrates the tremendous progress that has been made since the CYPP was first published. It has also been useful in highlighting areas for focus during the remainder of the plan.
The review has been informed by a wide range of evidence and consultation. This has included consultation with children and young people and parents, workshops with staff across the Council and partner organisations, performance and needs analysis information, and results from inspections, such as the 2006 Joint Area Review.
