Planning pre application advice service

Addressing planning issues at the pre-application stage ensures the process runs quickly and smoothly. Verbal pre application advice is available free of charge from the Planning Information Desk at the Town Hall, by telephoning our planning help line on 020 7361 3012, or you can download and complete the pre-application advice request form for postal advice (see link to form below). We regret that officers will only be able to give you basic advice at the desk or over the telephone, and are not able to put anything in writing.

The following downloads should assist you:

Please include the relevant fee. Cheques should be made payable to The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Any supporting documentation you may have such as plans or photographs that will help us provide you with the advice you need should be included.

For advice on major developments, the following supporting information is also required:

  1. Draft Design and Access Statement
  2. Site plan, floor plans and elevations (A3 size, if possible)

Six copies of this information should be provided.

At present, we are not able to accept on line submissions of the advice request form or take online payment, though we hope to be able to do so in the near future.
