Core Strategy
The Core Strategy was adopted the Full Council meeting on 8
December 2010. Any person aggrieved by the document may make an
application to challenge it in the High Court and the Adoption
Statement gives details of the grounds on which, and the time
within which, such an application may be made.

(Code for Sustainable Homes / BREEAM) has been developed to answer
your questions.
The Core Strategy sets out the vision, objectives and detailed
spatial strategy for future development in the Royal Borough up to
2028 along with specific strategic policies and targets,
development management policies and site allocations. The document
does not just consider land use, but also a comprehensive range of
environmental, economic and social issues. The ‘Development Plan’
for the borough now comprises of the Core Strategy, the London Plan
2011, plus relevant ‘saved’ policies from the Unitary Development
Plan (UDP). Please see the Policy Replacement Schedule in the Core

The adopted Core Strategy is available to view on this website,
but paper copies together with the Proposals Map within the Core
Strategy, the Sustainability Appraisal Report and the Adoption
Statement can be viewed at the Council’s Planning Reception
(from 8:30am to 5:00pm). The documents are also available

Libraries.
