Diamond Jubilee March

23 May 2012

Residents and visitors to the Royal Borough are invited to come to Kensington High Street at 11am on Saturday 9 June to see over 200 soldiers from the Territorial Army and a unit of Chelsea Pensioners take part in the Diamond Jubilee March-Past.

Come and join members of six regiments which have been deployed in Afghanistan as they march from Holland Park to Kensington Church Street. The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and other members of the Council will be there to take the salute and the march should take about 15 minutes to pass along the High Street.

We'd like people to line the route and give the regiments a cheer as they march by.

The regiments marching have all received the Freedom of the Borough and are:

 The Royal Hospital Chelsea
 The Royal Yeomanry
D (London Irish Rifles) Coy, The London Regiment
 256 Field Hospital
10 Coy, 4 Battalion, The Parachute Regiment
41 (PLK) Squadron 38 Signal Regiment
