Parks Police dog show

25 August 2011

Has your dog got the waggiest tail, or most appealing eyes? Put your pooch on centre stage at the Council's dog show in Kensington Memorial Park on Sunday 4 September.

The event, which has been organised by the Council's Parks Police, features entertainment for families and dogs, including flyball demonstrations and rosettes for the top dogs in each class.

The event is free to attend, but anyone wishing to enter their dog will need to pay £1.50. Registration and entries for the dog show take place at 10am with judging from noon.

All proceeds from the show will be donated to Demelza, a charity for children with life threatening illnesses.

Staff from the Dogs Trust will also be available to offer advice and support about responsible dog behaviour and training.

The Parks Police will be on hand to answer any questions about animals in the borough's parks as well as policing of open spaces.
