Have your say on policing in the borough

26 November 2012

Policing is undergoing major changes which will have an impact on residents of this borough. To find out what is involved and raise issues that are of concern to you come along to the Community and Police Engagement Group meeting at Kensington Town Hall this Thursday 29 November at 6.30pm.

The Mayor's Office for Police and Community (MOPAC) plans to create a Safer Neighbourhood Board in each London borough to oversee local policing and set priorities and replace the existing structure for consulting on local policing.
Board members will be recruited from local residents.

Superintendent Neil Evans and the Royal Borough's Chief Community Safety Officer will speak on policing and setting priorities. A representative from MOPAC will explain how the Safer Neighbourhood Board will function.

A volunteer from Victim Support will speak on the many ways victims and witnesses receive help from this independent national charity.

This meeting starts at 6.30pm on 29 November in Committee Room 1 at Kensington Town Hall, Horton Street.
