With a Leisure Pass, residents in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea can enjoy savings at leisure facilities provided by the Borough.

Who can apply for a Leisure Pass?

If you are receiving any of the following benefits and are a permanent resident within the Royal Borough you may apply for a leisure pass:

  1. Aged 60 years and over
  2. Registered Disabled
  3. In receipt of Income Support
  4. Unemployed / in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance
  5. A full-time student
  6. A spouse / partner of these applications in receipt of income support (C) or unemployed (D), plus two children under 16.

What is needed to qualify?

 
To qualify for a Leisure Pass you must present proof of permanent address in the form of one of the following current documents: 
  • Utility bill
  • Council Tax Bill
  • Letter from Housing Association
  • Tenancy Agreement
  • Student loan notification letter
Concessionary Requirement. Please bring one of the following documents:
  • Letter from DWS, passports, birth certificate or freedom pass
  • Dates incapacity benefit notification letter
  • Letter from DWS as proof of income support
  • ES40 or DWS dated and stamped. Letter as proof of job seekers allowance
  • Letter of acceptance from your university giving proof of full time status

How to apply for a Leisure Pass

Take the completed application form to the facility you will use most often during the following hours:

Kensington Leisure Centre, Walmer Road W11 Tel: 020 7727 9747
Monday to Friday 1pm – 4pm

Chelsea Sports Centre, Chelsea Manor Street SW3 Tel: 020 7352 6985
Monday to Friday 1pm – 4pm

Passes may take up to seven days to process and concessions cannot be gained until the pass has been produced. A temporary pass will not be issued.

A Leisure Pass can be renewed up to 14 days before it expires. You will need to show current proof of your residence and concession. If your card has expired you will need to make a new application.

How much does a Leisure Pass cost?

Six month and family passes cost:

  • Six-month Pass £5.85
  • Family Pass £5.85

Annual passes cost:

  • Annual Pass £11.75

Applicable for those in categories: A - B - C and D only

What can a Leisure Pass be used for?

Any of the following:

  • Reduced price swimming during all public swimming sessions and half price gym sessions and racquet sports during off-peak hours at Kensington Leisure Centre and Chelsea Sports Centre.
  • Free swimming and half price jungle gym for children with a Family Pass.
  • Half price tennis courts and cricket nets in the borough parks during opening hours.
