My Hans Town

Over the last year, councillors consulted residents through a ward-wide survey and public meeting (details below). Councillors agreed funding towards a blue plaque to commemorate former US Statesman, abolitionist, orator and former local resident, Frederick Douglass. They also funded the restoration of a World War I memorial in Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square and supported the Chelsea Society with their ‘Chelsea in the Great War’ exhibition. Chelsea Association of Tenants were also funded to deliver a art and performance project for residents on the William Sutton Estate. Total spend last year was  £9,470.17
