Last year in Notting Barns ward, councillors instigated a range of community projects to improve life for local people. A number of community events were funded including the St. Helen’s Festival – a large event which attracted hundreds of local residents. Smaller community events such as Lancaster West Estate fun day and Silchester Estate summer party were assisted. An IT support programme for travellers’ children at Stable Way is being provided, and an adult employment programme run by the Clement James Centre has also been supported. In 2013, councillors spent £11,790.60
