groups especially for you and your little one. Details of
these groups are listed below.

Break 4 U

What is it?
A friendly and active group for mothers, and mothers to be, aged
13 to 23 years old. We offer a range of accredited courses
such as Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Youth Arts Award and the
Youth Achievements Awards. Parents can also receive
qualifications in baby first aid and basic I.T.
Mothers will have the chance to get involved in lots of
activities including massage, playwriting, t-shirt designing and
making baby clothes.
The staff can also support with benefits, personal
development (volunteers programme), peer mentoring programmes and
careers.
When is it?
Wednesdays and Fridays 1pm to 4.30pm
Where is it?
As the venue varies and there is a session in the North and
South of the borough please contact the Lead Personal Adviser
for Teenage Pregnancy at the Connexions
Centre.
Young Fathers' Project
What is it?
Young Father? Are you about to become
one? Do you want to be the best father you can?
Of course you do.
The Young Fathers Projects aims to support you
in the many changes and challenges that fatherhood will bring you,
whether you are living together with your child or apart.
The Young Fathers Project is for young men 25
years and younger. With this in mind we are excited to offer
a programme which will:
- Provide opportunities to meet other young
fathers.
- Build up parenting skills and provide
opportunities to bond with child/children.
- Encourage positive involvement.
- Highlight your rights and
responsibilities.
- Support you to have positive
relationships.
- Support each other and learn from others
experience.
When is it?
We are recruiting fathers now for a programme
that is due to commence in April 2010. Please contact the
