What is the Young Carers' Group?
The group supports young people and gives them a break from
caring for a family member.
We have fun and meet up with friends.
If you need help Alex and Helen will be there for you.
Who can join the Young Carers' Group?
- Young people aged 7 to 17 years old, who take care of a family
member.
- You have to be a resident of The Royal Borough of Kensington
& Chelsea (RBKC).
What Activities do we do with the Young Carers' Group?

- Rock climbing
- Cycling – banana bikes
- DVD making
- Young carers festival
- Ice skating
- Canoeing
- Discussion groups
- Cooking and healthy eating sessions
- Cinema trips
- Gym sessions
- Camping
- Football
What do we get out of being a member of the Young Carers'
Group?
Instead of being stuck at home looking after
a family member, the young carers group gives us a break to have
fun with other people our age who have similar experiences at
home.
We gain various skills such as: filmmaking,
cookery, sports etc…
