The Ice House
Originally the Ice House for the Holland Estate, the
space has been transformed into a well-lit and well equipped
contemporary exhibition space which is an ideal for presenting
small scale works.
There is an annual programme of exhibitions which runs from
spring to autumn. For further details of exhibiting at the Ice
House, please email museums@rbkc.gov.uk
The Ice House is not available for private functions.

Leaving Japan Behind – The Moon at the
Window

Akiko Fujikawa and Nana Shiomi
An exhibition by two UK-based Japanese woodblock printmakers. Nana
Shiomi is showing prints from her 100 Views of MITATE, and Akiko
Fujikawa from various series.
Elemental Two

Jeff Wood, Ofelia Gaona-Herrera and Michelangelo Bonitatibus
Following the success of the exhibition Elemental in 2008, the
artists are back at the Ice House with Elemental Two, a new
collection of original and exciting pieces of work in glass and
ceramic.

Continuum – New Pots from ancient
techniques

Licy Clayden and Guido Magliocco
An exhibition of handbuilt pots by Licy Clayden and Guido Magliocco
explores the dynamics between heavily grogged black and white
stoneware and fine porcelain. The exhibitors, who have worked
together for 4 years, utilise similar gestural application of
oxides and glazes which enhance, rather than hide the surface
quality of their pieces

An exhibition of landscape and abstract painting, carving and
assemblage inspired by human and animal forms as well as geology,
plants, textiles and Islamic carpets.

English Seasons

Mariusz Kaldowski
The paintings shown will be a selection of impressions of beautiful
English parks, gardens and flowers over changing of seasons,
painted in the last couple of years. The majority of the works are
acrylic on canvas.
