Leighton House is closed to the public on the following
days over the Christmas and New Year period:

Admission charges
£5 adult, £3 Concession (over 60, 16 and under, full-time
students), ticket includes free return entry within 12 months. Free
entry for Friends and Patrons of Leighton House Museum, ICOM, Blue
badge guides, Museum Association members. Valid proof must be
presented.

National Trust members receive a 50% discount on
admission to Leighton House Museum on presentation of their valid
membership card. If you have forgotten your card today you will be
asked to pay the full entrance charges in order to visit the

Free entry for Art Fund members. The Art Fund is the national
fundraising charity for art. Through the National Art Pass it
raises millions of pounds every year to buy great art for museums

Tours begin with a 10-minute introductory video and last
approximately 1.5 hours.
Conventional tours
Led by expert guides, the informative tours give a memorable
insight into the Sambournes' lives and home, from interior
decoration, eccentric possessions, to their day to day
activities.
Wednesdays 11.15am and 2.15pm
Saturdays and Sundays 11.15am
Costumed tours
As guests of the Sambournes, enjoy the hospitality of Marion and
her staff. Based on Marion Sambourne's diaries, the costumed tours
provide a dramatic account of the lives of the inhabitants of 18
Stafford Terrace.
Saturdays and Sundays 1pm, 2.15pm, 3,30pm.

Private group tours
can be arranged for adults and schools on Mondays, Thursdays and

Access
The house is arranged over five
floors with steep stairs both externally and internally, a total of
77 internal stairs from basement level to the top of the house. The
staircase has a handrail throughout but following the tour may be
difficult for the very elderly or infirm. Folding stools can be
provided on request but there is no fixed seating for visitors
within the historic interiors.
Regrettably, wheelchair access is not possible.
