Being Boiled Summer Feast
An evening at Opera Holland Park is always a
treat but this summer you can make your visit even more memorable
by joining in a unique culinary experience before the performance.
Sara Sjölund, founder of Being Boiled,
one of London’s most exciting supper clubs, is inviting just 30
people to a pre-opera feast and wine-tasting to be held in the
stunning surroundings of the Dutch Garden on Saturday 23 June
(Lucia di Lammermoor) and Saturday 21 July (Yevgeny
Onegin). The evening begins at 5.30pm so bring your
appetite!
Sara is originally from Sweden but draws her
influences from the culinary capitals she has lived in including
San Francisco, Beijing and New York. She started Being
Boiled after moving to London, with the aim of creating an
intimate dining experience by offering delicious seasonal cooking
and exceptional wines amid some inspiring settings in the various
“pop-up” locations where she hosts her events. At Opera Holland
Park, guests will be able to enjoy a glass of Prosecco in the Dutch
Garden before sitting down at our beautifully-dressed tables,
created by set-designer Linnea Apelqvist, where they will be
treated to a hearty selection of Sara’s delicious summer-inspired
dishes.
As a part of the package, guests will be able
to sample a number of wines selected by Isabelle
Legeron, the first woman to ever be awarded the
prestigious Master of Wine title in France. Isabelle’s specialty is
fine natural wine that has been sustainably grown and is free from
additives or preservatives. Her many projects include composing an
all-natural wine list for the two-Michelin-starred restaurant
Hibiscus, and hosting her own wine programme on TV.
Sara will also be joined by Ole
Hansen, Chief Smoker at the Hansen-Lydersen salmon smokery
in Stoke Newington. He supplies his exquisite salmon to several top
restaurants in London, as well as the Norwegian Embassy. Ole will
be treating diners to tastings of his wide range of wild,
hand-cured salmon.
