Homoeopathic pioneer Dr Margery Blackie lived and worked at 18 Thurloe Square from 1929 to 1980. Ernest Milner took this photograph on October 1902. It is easy to see that the house was large enough to accommodate her practice as well as space to entertain and hold discussions with patients, students and homoeopaths, who would travel from all over the world to sit in during her surgeries.
