Dobson's terracotta statue Woman With Birds from The Studio
Sculptor Frank Dobson specialised in working in terracotta, developing his own style and working methods. Woman with Birds and other works were used to illustrate an article in The Studio in 1948 on his methods. As well as living in Harley Gardens he had a studio in Manresa Road. These were demolished in 1960 and Chelsea Art School now stands on the site of several working artists studios.
