Consultation
The Kensington and Chelsea Partnership run public events and
consultations to gauge opinions and inform the development of the
Community Strategy, Local Area Agreement and any other important
pieces of work.
Public consultations have taken place to inform the development
of each version of the Community Strategy.
In 2004 and 2005 the Partnership undertook a range of
consultation activities to inform the development of the second
Community Strategy, including broad-based consultation of draft
proposals, thematic engagement focussing on each of the proposed
chapters, and workshops and specific commissioned activities.
In 2008, consultation to inform the third Community Strategy
also included broad-based consultation of the draft proposals,
specific focus groups with particular communities and a day-long
consultation event in the Great Hall of the Town Hall.
Feedback from consultation and engagement events is analysed and
fed into early drafts of the Community Strategy for further
development. A draft version of the Community Strategy was
published in July 2008 for an eight week public consultation period
and views were fed into the final version of the document.
Information about future public events and consultations will be
posted on the Kensington and Chelsea
Partnership home page.
