Royal Borough Pension Fund documents
Each local authority pension fund is required to maintain four policy documents by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG):
- A Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) which sets out the responsibilities of those involved in the management and administration of the Fund and sets out the investment policy.
- A Funding Strategy Statement (FSS). The FSS focuses on the pace at which the Fund’s liabilities are funded and the measures that employers have in place to pay for their own liabilities.
- A Communications Policy Statement (CPS) which sets out how the Pension Section communicates with its stakeholders, in particular the active, deferred and pensioner members and the employers which participate in the scheme.
- A Governance Compliance Statement (GCS). This sets out how the Authority’s policies on pension fund governance, including the delegation of responsibilities and representation on the Investment Committee comply with guidance issued by the DCLG.
