The Rossetti Room is our most popular ceremony room. Situated on the upper ground floor of the Chelsea Old Town Hall and able to accommodate up to 14 people (the couple and up to 12 guests), it offers a quiet and relaxed setting for your ceremony. The room is decorated with a fresh floral arrangement.

Please note that we are currently taking bookings for the Rossetti Room up to and including 19 August 2018, and from 1 April 2019 onwards. Chelsea Old Town Hall is undergoing a full refurbishment from 20 August until 31 March 2019, therefore if you are considering a ceremony between this time frame, we recommend the Committee Room or the Mayor’s Parlour which are both at Kensington Town Hall.

If you choose The Rossetti Room as your venue you will be able to personalise your marriage or civil partnership ceremony by including optional readings and music.

Please be aware that  there is an additional £100 Evening Fee payable for ceremonies booked at or after 5pm.

The non-refundable booking fee is payable when you book the date of your ceremony. The fee for the attendance of the Registrars at your ceremony must be paid no later than four weeks before the ceremony. The attendance fee is the fee for your ceremony in that room or venue, so includes the service itself, and the two registrars required by law to be in attendance to conduct and register your ceremony. It does not include marriage certificates which are £4 each (prior to your ceremony) or £10 each (after your ceremony). Certificates can be paid for at £4 when you pay your ceremony attendance fee.

For this room, please state The Chelsea Old Town Hall as your venue when you attend to give notice.

There is step-free access to this room. Wheelchair users should enter the Chelsea Old Town Hall via the lift at the Chelsea Library entrance of the building, and a porter will guide you through to the Registrars department. When you return your Programme of Events to us, simply let us know that you or one of your guests is a wheelchair user and we will ensure that a porter is available for your arrival.

If you wish to view the ceremony rooms here at the Chelsea Old Town Hall please contact us at registrars@rbkc.gov.uk with your preferred date and we will write back to let you know at what times the ceremony rooms are free for viewing on that date. Members of staff can be available for informal discussion during our weekday opening hours either over the telephone or in person.
