If it has not been possible to offer your child a place at your preferred school, you have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel. A step-by-step guide is provided to assist you in in the appeals process.

An appeal form can either be requested from the Council of the school direct if they organise their own appeals. Please contact the admissions team in the first instance for advice.

Primary reception appeals

National Offer Day -  18 April 2017

Appeal forms for community primary schools dispatched from 22 May 2017

Appeals to be lodged for community schools by 19 June 2017  

Appeal hearings scheduled  throughout  July 2017.

Secondary Transfer 2017

National Offer Day  - 1 March 2017

Appeals for schools administered by the Council dispatched from 29 March 2017

Appeals to be  lodged by 12 May 2017  

Appeal hearings scheduled throughout  June 2017

The above timetable may not apply to all schools in Kensington and Chelsea or other Council areas. It is important that  you check with the individual school you want to appeal for to check their timetable
