Profile Rock Feilding-Mellen was first elected to Kensington and Chelsea Council in 2006, as a Councillor for St Charles ward, but has been representing Holland ward since 2010.

He served as Deputy Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for Housing, Property, and Regeneration between 2013-2017. Prior to that, Rock was the Cabinet Member for Civil Society between 2011-2013, which meant he was responsible for the Council's policies on community safety, economic development, the voluntary sector, and community engagement. Until becoming Deputy Leader, Rock also sat on the Major Planning Development Committee.

Beyond Kensington and Chelsea, Rock has sat on London Councils' housing and economic development boards, and he has also been a member of the LGA's Urban Commission and has sat on its Housing and Environment Board.

Outside of local government, Rock was a trustee of the Westway Development Trust until 2014 and has also served as a governor of a local primary school. Professionally, he runs his own small business.

Before all that, Rock got a degree in classics from Oxford University before going on to do a masters in international political economy at the London School of Economics.

He is married and has two young children.
