Election of Councillor for Dalgarno Ward

Following the resignation of Councillor Robert Thompson, the official Notice of Election for the election of one councillor to the Dalgarno ward of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has been published.

For more information on standing as a candidate, please visit the Local elections page of the Electoral Commission website.

If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 21 March 2019 between 7am and 10pm.

If you live in Dalgarno ward and are not currently on the electoral register, you have until Tuesday 5 March to register. The easiest way to do this is on the gov.uk website.

If you are already registered but cannot make it in person to the polling station on Polling Day, you can apply for a postal or proxy vote.

The deadline to apply for a postal vote is Wednesday 6 March at 5pm.

The deadline to apply for a proxy vote (where you ask someone else to vote on your behalf) is Wednesday 13 March at 5pm. Find out about applying for a postal or proxy vote see the Voting by post or proxy page.

If after 5pm on Wednesday 13 March you are unable to vote in person because you:

  • have a medical emergency
  • find you cannot go to the polling station because of work reasons

You can apply to vote by proxy. Completed applications must reach us before 5pm on Thursday 21 March. To find out how to apply, call the helpline immediately on 0207 361 3444.
