Federation of Westminster special school training and outreach service
Offers an excellent range of continued professional development for educational settings, parents and a wide range of partner services.
This includes seminars delivered by our advisory teachers and therapists as well as some of the most experienced researchers and practitioners in the world of SEND. The service facilitates a range of SEND whole school approaches e.g. SCERTS, TEACCH, Protective Behaviours, Elklan and MindUp.
Schools and Early Years settings have regular opportunities for sharing good practice through SENCO Forums.
From September 2019 this support will be extended to the Bi-borough under one management structure. This will include joint working with RBKC Autism and Early Years Intervention Team and RBKC sensory impairment advisory teachers.
All courses and events are promoted bi-monthly through School Bulletin and Local Offer.
