Bi-borough Head of Service for Short Breaks and Resources - Tracy Beard

Tracy oversees and manages all services supporting disabled children (except for the social work teams). These include:

  • Short Breaks Practitioners who offer light-touch assessments for care packages or Early Intervention.
  • Service Delivery at St Quintin Centre, Tresham Centre, and the two satellite services
  • Inclusion Service for Play and Leisure.

She also monitors all contracts with external providers.

Tracy oversees the Business Support Services that help with panels, data & finance, and direct payments & personal budgets, and the new Front Door Service.

She also have oversight over the Occupational Therapy Services for families needing equipment and adaptations in their homes.

Tracy drives forward all the new developments in the service. These currently include the new RAS system, the Disabled Children’s Register, Agency and Homecare support and the development of the new Core Offer.

Bi-Borough Performance Manager for Short Breaks and Resources - Alex Deemer

Alex is responsible for managing changes to the Short Breaks service bi-borough, to develop a wider, more accessible range of services to SEND families, children, and young people aged 0-18.

Family Navigator (previously Front Door)

This role coordinates the Bi-Borough Front Door system which takes Early Health Notifications from healthcare professionals who believe a child under the age of 5 may have a special educational needs and/or disability.

Inclusion Officer - Renata Burns

The inclusion officer allows young people with additional needs to have access to mainstream services with the correct support in place.  This gives children and young people the opportunity to play and socialise with peers their own age and build relationships with mainstream children.
