Young people apply for small grants - deadline 9th November 2020

Actions

Young K&C, Exploring Culture, Identity and Heritage

Children and young people can apply for small grants up to £1,500 for projects that explore culture, identity and heritage.

Kensington and Chelsea is a highly diverse area.  99 different languages are spoken by children attending school in the borough.

We are encouraging children and young people to lead these projects, to produce and share knowledge and experiences about their communities in fun and enjoyable ways.  We are looking for change making ideas and activities.

All you have to do is come up with a great idea for learning about the cultures, histories and diversity of local communities in Kensington and Chelsea.  This could be through food, art, spoken word, history, music, children’s play, sport, photography, film, or any other activities.

Decisions will be made by our grants panel, including local young people.

How to Apply

To apply you will need to be aged up to 25 and live, work or study in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

You will also need to be working with a registered charity or community interest company that is a member of Young K&C.

You can apply by completing the application form below and sending it by email to [email protected] by Monday 9 November 2020.

If you wish to send a short video explaining what you want to do and why, you are welcome to send this to [email protected] by WeTransfer or send us a link to your video on by Monday 9 November 2020.  The video is optional, but we encourage children and young people to send a video to help the grant panel with their decisions.
