Orchard Hill Work start Open Day

Orchard Hill College is launching a new accessible work-based training programme ‘WorkStart’ for people age 19+ with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). WorkStart will be delivered locally in Westminster at Tresham Centre (Marylebone) and starts in January 2022.

WorkStart is a part-time programme for 3 days per week, involving one day in class working towards English, maths and Employability qualifications and 2 days per week on a person-centred work placement carefully matched to the individual based on their skills, experience and career aspirations with expert one-to-one job coach support.

WorkStart would benefit anyone looking to gain qualifications, workplace and interview skills, and real work experience who might not be able to access Supported Internships or Apprenticeships. The ultimate aim is to support participants into sustainable paid work at the end of the one year programme. Anyone aged 19+ can apply, with/without an Education Health and Care plan (EHCP).
