It is available to any family living in the Royal their child. • Coordinate and /or attend meetings with professionals and the family. • Indentify any gaps in the service provision and ensure appropriate referrals are made. • Supporting siblings of children with additional needs and signposting them to appropriate services. • Supporting families to connect with education services, play services, appropriate benefits, training opportunities and addressing housing issues. Borough of Kensington & Chelsea who has a disabled child. The service can offer • Working in partnership with families in the initial stages of a child’s diagnosis and signposting to appropriate services. Continuing this support as necessary as the child grows older. • Being the main point of contact for all other professionals that might be involved with their child. • To provide practical and emotional support to families. • Advocate for families and assure they are fully involved in decisions and services provided for
- How do you access this service?
The service is based at St Quintin centre for Disabled Children- We have an open access policy so families can just drop in from 9-5pm weekdays or call the centre to make an appointment. We also accept referrals from other professionals in Health, Education and Social care.
- How do we ensure the quality of this service?
The service reports quarterly on its performance and commissioners address any issues at quarterly meetings. This includes feedback from children and their families on their experience and outcomes.
