Homework Club is a free service which supports primary school children with their academic studies in a calm and encouraging atmosphere. The ethos has been described as half-way between the discipline of school and the informality of home. Our in-person sessions aim to develop aspects of the national curriculum that children find challenging, with a particular focus on reading and writing. We run two online tutoring sessions a week, where children work either one-to-one or in small groups. We use a variety of online platforms to deliver high quality tutoring and assistance in Maths, Comprehension and Verbal/Non-Verbal Reasoning.
All children must be registered with the RPT Junior Club and must commit to regular attendance.
Sessions are held four times a week, on a Monday and Wednesday at RPT from 3:30 to 5:00, and on a Tuesday and Thursday online from 4:15 to 5:30. Although please contact us for further details as this may change.
After the in-person session, children join in with the Junior Club which runs in parallel to the Homework Club. In this way, children prosper from focused academic support and the therapeutic disciplines of organised play.
RPT tutors are drawn from a broad range of professional and academic backgrounds.
