Come Along to Anansi and the Lost Sun for a puppet show for all the family to celebrate traditional stories from Ghana, West Africa.
Hear the magical adventures of Anansi the Spider in a journey of strength: “Once upon a time, one day, darkness covered the face of the land. Lion called an assembly of all the animals of the forest to bring back the light and save the world."
Who will succeed? The powerful eagle? The clever monkey? Or Anansi the spider and his mates?
After the performance, find out how the puppets were made. Meet the performer and puppets to discover how Anansi the Spider, a character in West African tales, who travelled with African slaves taken to the Caribbean and the through the travel of their families to the UK with the Windrush generation and beyond.

Each workshops is approximately 40 minutes long. Each session will include a performance of 30 minutes followed by 10 minutes where participants can get closer to the puppets and learn about the materials and their link to African culture. Sessions are free and drop-in
starting at 11:00
