Invitation for parents with SEN statemented children

London Knights BC, est 1997, runs a junior basketball program in RBKC and Westminster for over a decade and currently numbers over 500 children actively participating in our sessions.

The Club has entered a partnership with the Sports Department of RBKC to deliver tailored basketball sessions for children with Special Educational Needs. Our aim is to create a controlled and enjoyable environment for children and their carers.

The sessions will be delivered on Mondays, 5-6 pm in Kensington Leisure Centre, W10, starting right after the half-term break.

Only the children with Educational and Health Care Plan (EHCP) are invited to take advantage of these subsided sessions.

Other notes

Sessions for primary and secondary school children with EDUCATION HEALTH CARE PLAN.

Sessions are subject to RBKC Sports Department subsidy and the initial summer term is set to detect interest of individual year groups of children. The interest will be assessed again with the Sports Department and the session extended or subdivided if indicated.

Our aim is to create a safe and enjoyable environment for children and their carers!

We are sorry not to be able to cater for a wheelchair basketball within these sessions but, should your child belongs to this category please write to me at so I can gather the interest and address the Council once the numbers justify creating a wheelchair junior basketball session.

These sessions are run by Level 2 and 3 Basketball England coaches with experience in working with children with different types of disability and at a different pace. Our children are actively involved in training sessions over 90% of the time. We do not promote queuing aside where intensity is kept on low. Every child 'must leave' better off after each session.
