Our nursery in Holland Road, Kensington caters for children aged 3 months to 4 years old, in small class sizes to ensure an environment in which children learn and are stimulated, complemented by the provision of home cooked food and a private garden.
Children can attend 8:30-12:00, 8:30-3:00, 3:00-6:00 (under 2s only) or 8:30-6:30 and can also opt for before and after school care. We are open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Children can attend full time or part time.
The nursery is in close proximity to Holland Park, Kensington, Brook Green, Shepherd's Bush, and Hammersmith. We have five classes: Circle Class (3 months to approx. 12 months), District Class (approx. 12 to 24 months), Piccadilly Class (approx. 24 months to rising 3s), Central Class (rising 3s to rising 4s) and Jubilee Class (rising 4s to rising 5s). We regularly take the children on excursions to learn more about the world around them.
Reports are given out each July, and parent teacher meetings are held termly.
Piccadilly Class (Children - Ages approx. 24 months to rising 3s)
The Piccadilly Class is designed to introduce more structured activities into the children’s daily routine.
Throughout the day the children engage in a range of activities such as:
- Practical Life skills (pouring, transferring, dressing)
- Music and movement
- Sports
- Cooking and messy play
- Outside play
- Numbers, colours and letters
The Piccadilly Class covers all 7 areas of learning of the EYFS with a focus on the three prime areas: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; and Physical Development.
Central and Jubilee Classes (Children - Ages rising 3s to rising 5s)
The Central and Jubilee Classes are designed to build on the Piccadilly Class with structured activities and to prepare children for Reception.
Throughout the day the children engage in a range of activities such as:
- Phonics
- Numbers
- Introduction to writing
- Fine motor skills
- Expressive arts and design
- Understanding the World
These classes cover all 7 areas of learning with a focus on preparing each child for Reception.
