Specialist Resource Base for Autism - The Orchard

Barlby Autism Resource Base provides children and the opportunity of accessing the curriculum and social opportunities offered by an outstanding mainstream school with the support of autism specialists and an environment which enables small group learning alongside and/or in addition to the regular classroom. 

This autism resource base enables children to follow an individual programme tailored to support them address key areas of development, in particular communication and social emotional skills through the provision of evidence-based intervention.

Nursery provision

The school offers nursery provision. Funded places available for eligible children.

Wraparound childcare / clubs information:

After school club: Yes

Barlby Play Centre is run and organised by the school and open Monday - Friday 3.30-4.30pm or 3.30-6pm. We welcome all children ages three to eleven years old.

The sessions will cost as following:

£6 for 3:30pm-4:30pm or £12 for a full session from 3:30pm to 6pm (including a light, healthy meal)

If you have more than one child attending the provision we will be offering the following sibling rate: £4 for 3:30pm-4:30pm per child or £8 for a full session from 3:30pm-6pm per child (including a light, healthy meal)

If your child is picked up late from school and has to attend Play Centre for a short period of time e.g 15-20 minutes there will be a charge of £5. If your child is picked up after 6pm there will be an additional late charge of £12 to cover the additional staffing costs and keeping the building open later.

Payments should be made through schoolcomms in advance for all pupils.
