Who are Maternity Champions Peer Supporters?
They are local mums who have had a positive and successful breastfeeding experience and who has undertaken a Peer Supporters training course. They are DBS checked, friendly and welcoming.
What do Peer Supporters do?
They listen, empathise with, support and empower mothers. They act as a source of good, up to date information about breastfeeding and related issues. They do not give advice, but refer on to an appropriate practitioner if necessary.
Meetings can be held over Zoom, phone and face to face.
