Specialist Resource Base for Speech, Language and Communication Needs
Ark Brunel Speech and Language resource base provides children aged 4-11 years who have speech, language and communication needs the opportunity of accessing the curriculum and social opportunities offered by a mainstream school with the support of teachers and teaching assistants who are specialists in language development and speech and language therapists. The resource base provides an environment which enables small group learning, direct intervention alongside and/or in addition to regular classroom learning.
Wraparound childcare / clubs information:
Breakfast club: No
After school club: Mon-Fri from 3:30pm-4:30pm (or to 6pm)
£6 for 3:30pm-4:30pm
£12 for a full session from 3:30pm to 6pm (including a light, healthy meal)
If you have more than one child attending the provision we will be offering the following sibling rate:
£4 for 3:30pm-4:30pm per child
£8 for a full session from 3:30pm-6pm per child (including a light, healthy meal)
If your child is picked up late from school and has to attend Play Centre for a short period of time e.g. 15-20 minutes there will be a charge of £5. If your child is picked up after 6pm there will be an additional late charge of £12 to cover the additional staffing costs and keeping the building open later.

Additional information:
Ages: 3-11 year old.
The school provides after-school care for its pupils at Barlby Play Centre which is a short walk from the school. Children are collected at the end of the school day in the school playground and escorted on the short walk by a member of the Play Centre team.
Registration forms can be obtained from the Ark Brunel school office. Once your child has been registered all queries and enquiries should be directed to the Barlby school office on 020 8969 3988. Payments should also be made in cash to the Barlby school office.
