Violet Melchett Children’s Centre wants to work with families, children and practitioners to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to reach their full potential. This can mean supporting those in the earliest years in learning or helping children to develop life skills.
Our service is informed and shaped by families and children in the local community and reflects their needs and wants. We want to support all areas of family life from health, education, social exclusion, social issues such as housing and further education to services that build social networks and support systems.
We envision a service that empowers families and children, building a strong healthy society.
We run a large number of services to support families and children. Here you will discover more about the activities, services and information we offer. These range from health support and health promotion groups, adult education and advice to play groups. We are supported by professionals in each area, these professionals and practitioners work with parents and staff.
