Join visiting children’s book author and Australian Paramedic Amie Cawood as she shares her 'My First Emergency' books and experience helping young children relate and learn about what happens and what to do in an emergency.
Amie’s books tell stories of kids experiencing their first emergency where the ambulance, fire brigade and police come to help. Targeting early childhood age, Amie hosts an interactive discussion to help children learn important things to know and practise in an emergency, like the emergency number to call.
Featuring adorable Australian native animals as the emergency services workers, her sessions are interactive and engaging with reading, colouring in and games making learning an important topic fun!
