Why do we still have millions of cases of infectious diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis and leishmaniasis? What does drug-resistance mean, and why should we care? 

This talk by Professor Mike Ferguson CBE FRS is aimed at non-specialists and will discuss these points and describe how the application of scientific research can make a difference.
