You can get free access to a wide range of books on business and finance and related subjects. We also stock a good collection of business-related journals and online resources, expertly selected to offer quality information covering business and trade in the UK and beyond.
Get the facts: online resources for business research
Our online database subscriptions include Mint UK, a large company information database perfect for creating targeted mailing lists and researching potential buyers, suppliers and competitors. It also includes a module of Industry Research, incorporating Global Data and Marketline reports. This database is available from Kensington Central Library only, but any relevant information can be exported to a memory stick or sent as email attachment.
There is also COBRA, the complete business reference adviser, which is full of accurate, relevant information about hundreds of business ideas and is aimed at helping people with all aspects of starting up and running their own businesses. COBRA is available in the library or remotely, from any PC, using your library card number.

Events and workshops
The library is also hosting free workshops and networking events specifically for people looking to set up or grow their own business. Good quality training for your staff available both in the library and from your home or office PC.
Universal Class offers free online training for library members. Choose from over 500 courses, including Yoga, Digital Photography, Computer Basics, Excel etc. There is something for everyone! Learn in your own time, at your own pace.
