Apply for a Resident’s PermitYou will need to fill in an application form and provide proof of where you live, proof that you are the main user and keeper of the vehicle, and proof that you have a driving licence that is valid in the UK. You can check your eligibility above

Permits are priced according to CO2 emissions (for vehicles registered after 1 March 2001) or by engine size (for vehicles registered before March 2001) to find out your CO2 rating or engine size go to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) website.

Apply for a Resident's parking permit

You can apply for your resident parking permit by post, this can take up to 10 working days to process. It is advisable to send your documents through recorded delivery to ensure these do not go missing in the post.

Alternatively you can visit the Customer Service Centre, where you can obtain your permit on the day.

Please note: our busiest times are between 12 noon and 2pm and our quietest time is between 9.30am to 11.30am.

Apply for a Doctor's Parking Bay Permit

You can apply for your doctor's parking bay permit by post, this can take up to 10 working days to process. It is advisable to send your documents through recorded delivery to ensure these do not go missing in the post.

Renew a Parking PermitWe will write to you when your parking permit is due for renewal. If you are eligible to renew online, it will be stated clearly in your renewal letter and you will be given a PIN (personal identification number). Please check it carefully and follow the renewal instructions.

Before you start the process of renewing your permit online, please read the following information:

  • If your pop up blocker is activated, please ensure this is deactivated before you renew your permit to ensure you are presented with the payments page.
  • We have a new feature where you are able to go back into your account to pay if  the payment screen is not presented on your first attempt – please enter the permit reference and PIN stated in your letter.
  • If you have not received or misplaced your PIN letter, you can request a duplicate providing that we have your email saved on your account. You will need to enter your permit reference, then select send PIN. Please ensure you check your spam folder.

Received a letter stating you can renew online? Complete the form and enter your PIN.

If you cannot renew online you will need to complete an application form.
