As recommended by Planning Policy Statement 25: Development and Flood Risk, the Council employed Consultants to undertake a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA), which it did so in partnership with the neighbouring London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the Environment Agency.
Strategic Flood Risk Assessments refine information on the areas that might flood, taking into account in London, the Thames, other sources of flooding and climate change.
The report informs the Council's policies for the Core Strategy.
