The glazed opening to Pottery Lane by reason of its scale, large expanse of glazing, and detailing would fail to respect the mews character and context of the streetscene and would fail to preserve or enhance the character and appearance of the Norland Conservation Area. As such it would be contrary to development plan policices including Local Plan Polices CL1, CL2, CL3, CL9 and Norland Neighbourhood Plan Policy N1.
