The installation on the carriageway of a docking station containing a maximum of 27 docking points for the Transport for London Cycle Hire Scheme in this location would lead to a reduction in road safety as a result of conflict arising between the patrons of the scheme and vehicles, particularly at the junction of Portland Road and Holland Park Avenue. The proposal is contrary to policy CT1 of the Core Strategy.
