By virtue of its design and materials the proposed rear conservatory would fail to preserve the character or appearance of the conservation area and would harm the appearance of the individual building. As such the proposal would conflict with Development Plan policies, in particular Local Plan policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL9 and CL11, Norland Neighbour Plan policy N3, and the guidance in the the Norland Conservation Area Proposal Statement, as well as the statutory requirement for development within a conservation area.
