The extensive opening up of the northern elevation, internal alterations, and loss of historic fabric, would disrupt the existing use and function of the studio space failing to preserve its character and interest. Furthermore, the residential use of the building would fail to preserve its important and intrinsic character and layout. The proposals would fail to preserve the heritage significance of the listed buildings, their setting, and their special architectural and historic interest contrary to policy CL4 the Consolidated Local Plan.
