Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 15 Oct 2018
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The proposed moving of the balustrade and resulting use of the additional section of roof to be used as a terrace would cause unacceptable overlooking and a material loss of privacy to nearby occupiers. This would be, in particular, to the occupiers of 11 Farrier Walk, whose principal elevation faces on to the proposed terrace and the terrace would become significantly closer to these windows. The proposal would be contrary to development plan policies, in particular Consolidated Local Plan Policy CL5.

Informatives:

Refused/No pre-app or discussion
To assist applicants in finding solutions to problems arising in relation to their development proposals the Local Planning Authority has produced planning policies, and provided written guidance, all of which are available on the Council's website. A pre-application advice service is also offered. In this case the proposal does not comply with guidance and policies. No pre-application discussions were entered into, but the Council is ready to enter into discussions with the applicants through the advice service to assist in the preparation of any new planning application.
