By virtue of the glazed infill extensions size and footprint, that extends beyond the rear closet wing, the proposal would cause harm to the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building and fails to preserve the character and appearance of the Edwardes Square/ Scarsdale/ Abingdon Conservation Area. As such, the proposal is contrary to CL3, CL4, CL6, CL9, CL11 of the Local Plan.
