Anyone for tennis?

07 February 2017

Residents who are inspired by the achievements of Andy Murray can sign up for six-weeks tennis training with a qualified tennis coach.

The first session is free and the subsequent sessions cost £2. All levels are welcome, including beginners. Lessons will take place in Holland Park on Wednesdays from 11am to noon and in Kensington Memorial Park on Thursdays from 1pm to 2pm.

There will be an opportunity to improve your shots and get a workout.

Everyone who completes the course will have an opportunity to attend a three-hour Tennis Activator training course to get the skills and confidence to deliver community tennis activities. There is also an opportunity to get funding to train for a LTA Level 1 coaching award.

The programme, which starts in Holland Park on Wednesday 15 February and in Kensington Memorial Park on Thursday 16 February, is delivered by the Royal Borough, the Lawn Tennis Association and the Council’s parks’ contractor Idverde.
