From climbing to football, from boxing to fruit-themed badge-making and even unicorn pancake making, Kensington and Chelsea kids have a range of exciting activities on offer for February half-term.
Sessions run at various times throughout half-term from Saturday 10 February until Sunday 18 February.
Activities on offer include action-packed climbing sessions held at the Westway Sports and Fitness Centre. Climbing is one of the fastest-growing sporting activities in the UK and climbing sessions are perfect for children of all ages and abilities.
Hornimans Adventure Playground in North Kensington is offering a variety of free activities including unicorn pancake making, nutrition workshops and guided meditation.
Football camp runs from Monday to Friday at the Westway Sports Centre and focuses on key skills of dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting and small-sided games. Tennis, hockey and netball also make up the ‘Six Super Sports’ programme at Westway.
Half-term activities are off to a nutritious start with the ‘Be Food Smart’ roadshow taking place 10am to 1pm at Kensal Library on Saturday 10 February.
There will also be a number of fun activities for children and families to promote healthy eating, including fruit-themed badge-making, healthy snack tasters and free face painting.
The Community Assistance Centre at the Curve is providing services to residents affected by the Grenfell Tower Fire over half-term. Activities at the Curve include children’s yoga, ‘more learning and play’ and Fouzia’s sewing club.
