Entrepreneurs, freelancers, start-ups and small businesses have the opportunity to rent affordable desk space in three of the borough’s libraries.
Brompton, Chelsea and Notting Hill libraries have a total of 84 fixed desk spaces that can be rented on a monthly basis from as little as £95 per month.
The Council is partnering with Wimbletech CIC, a social enterprise based in Merton, that works with local authorities to transform under-utilised library space.
The initiative, known as The Workary, is located in an underused staff office at Brompton Library; a former meeting room at Chelsea Library and a basement at Notting Hill Library. Users benefit from high speed WiFi, power points and unlimited tea and coffee.
Once fully established in the Royal Borough, members of The Workary will run free events for children and adults in the three library branches centred on new technology such as coding, electronics and business events.
Take up across the Royal Borough has been tremendous with only a few spaces remaining at The Workary Brompton. To find out more, contact The Workary on 020 3290 0393 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
